Hi, my name is Will, and I'm an MMO-holic. Or at least I was, until I swore myself off them because, despite the fact that they're more addictive than heroin, they really aren't that fun to play in the end.

Now I'm addicted to Guitar Hero, but at least I don't feel like I have to play that every day or else my life is over. :B

Anyone else a former MMO-er? How're you enjoying the newly found freedom from internet crack? :D

    MMO's aren't addictive, there just a considerable amount more social than most games. People are often drawn to social environments and thus they are successful. You can't technically be addicted because you can't grow a dependency.

    lol, no but seriously. I love MMO's. Like Stigma said, its the community that I enjoy most.

    I have left WoW. It got to the point where it was old and bland to me. All the joy it used to bring me snuffed out by daily quests, raid treadmills and lack of world pvp (I played on a pvp server).

    I am enjoying EQ2 now. I am a total noob and not tried any pvp yet but it seems like a great game. Cant wait to see more of it.

    i was, i've currently relinquished all MMO's. I won't say I'm out of mmo's forever (first new true FPS MMO that comes out i'm back in the game), but for now, i'm kinda out of serious gaming for a while.
