Yeah yeah, we announced this a bit ago, but it was not exactly working how we hoped. Now it should be working perfectly. If it is not, I am sure some people are going to be slamming their heads into a wall somewhere close by.

If you have any trouble with this at all, please let us know ASAP.

Message Post Processing

This is one those weird double positives titles. It is actually processing information in a post, but it is also post-processing messages. Muahaha. (yes, I am easily amused at 4 in the morning)

It is finally up and working. After much deliberation, we decided to go with BBcodes. It is a pretty well known standard with forum users, and just made the most sense when all was considered.

Therefore, most of the codes which you would assume are available. b, i, url, small, etc. There are a few which are not yet implemented, and will be shorty. Before you ask, the [img] code is something we are still talking about internally. We want to make it available in certain places, but we are just not yet settled on exactly where it will be usable, and where it won't. Also we want to add a size restriction on it, and that size has not yet been decided. Your thoughts on this matter would be helpful.

Just as an FYI, the codes which are listed on that page there, but are not supported right now are: [u], [img],

I am going to put a blank space between the first braket and the content, so you can actually see it. When you use it, you will need to not put the space in there.

Adding a user link:

There are several ways of doing this. You can use whichever works best for you.

[ user=username] (example: [ user=spot] would end up: ӝspot)

[ u=username]

[ =username]


Adding a user icon:

[ icon=username] (example: [ icon=spot] would end up: )


We also have tags for referencing forums, forum threads, screenshots, blogs, almost all content on the site. They should be implemented here soon, and I will let you know the moment they are.
