That seems to be a much better idea than having five zillion add-ons for games. Expansions and new versions really make money though/

I think because of Eve's nature (Skill training in real life) if they ever tried to release an Eve 2, and make everyone start again they'd lose a lot of players.

Unlike most other games out there you can't just grind your way back up, so if CCP don't want to lose a lot of there core player base they have to keep expanding Eve.

But Trinity has proven that there is no reason for Eve not to continue and grow as the same game.

Infog, the Eve expansions are all free of charge CCP don't charge for them at all. Probably because until a lot of games the expansions aren't optional you HAVE to download it to continue playing.

I wouldn't be surprised.

He mentions the ingame economy, and that reminded me of something I saw earlier today on the BBC news site BBC link about Eve's internal economy, which was quite an interesting read.

That BBC artical was pretty much bollocks tbh, it made Eve sound like a trading game. Yes that is a part of Eve but not the only part.
