We will be allowing you to add custom titles in the near future, however the ability to make a title exclusive to only you is still being bounced around. If you have any input on this, I am always interested.

To be honest, I am not fussed when it comes to that, however I do feel a custom one is needed, for example I want to use the portal quote "The cake is a lie"

Making them exclusive would be easy enough, just check to see if anyone else is using the title. The only way to then replicate them would be to type something similar with 1 character difference I guess. This could cause messiness, but who knows.

Very true on the messiness. However, we also can't add every custom title to the main list by default. It might be fun to provide a list and let people rate them, then at the end of each month the top three or whatever get added to the official list.

BTW, your portal quote is now an active title.

I like the rating of title's idea, as new games will always be released and they are bound to bring out new trends, quotes etc. like the Portal "The cake is a lie" thing mentioned above was only brought up recently.

That might make the list really cumbersome after a few month, maybe also make it so the least rated are taken down?

I think that as long as we have a nice selector thingy which will allow you to browse through the titles without having them all in one dropdown list, we could support hundreds without creating a problem.

I like that idea Spot. If it can be managed well, you can never have enough variety.

I like the default ones, but I'd really love custom ones, even if they aren't exclusive.

I think the addition of new, fresh and funny titles would by no means "clutter up" the drop down menu. It's divided into game types, and so if you add three a month, three different lists will gain one. Like under MMO, "Leeeeeroy Jenkins!!!" Could be added along with "Tag 'em and Frag 'em" under FPS, while RTS could get "I am the Overmind!". And you could easily pass over them and find the one you want through the gametype, not only the game itself. (Im new BTW )

Just following my own train of thought here so if it seems off topic, sorry. I'm wondering if the site would be supporting the whole Machinama or what ever its called or just the games them selves. Reason I state this is that I was going to suggest a title based on it, but then realized that Red Vs. Blue doesn't actually constitute a game. So I Figured I'd ask.

i think custom non exclusive titles would be good. that way if you aren't very creative and want to just put something like "tank" you wont be out of luck if someone else already has it.

Yeah, I like the selector drop-down menu idea. It leaves the option of hundreds open, and you could use the kind of format that DeviantART does for its submissions. Split it up into categories...maybe by Creed? So you could do Action, MMO, RPG, etc. and then have a Miscellaneous or just random one. But I also liked the rating system, so we could phase out the ones that no one uses or likes.
