Worrying is about as effective as chewing gum to solve algebra

So. I know the game is old, and I know it's very tired, what with being basically GTA but more simplified and cartoony, with twangs of City of Heroes.

However, as an addictive funbox, it worked. It kept me playing, it got me up in the mornings (I rarely did anything when it came out).

What, if anything, did it do for you?

Did any of you ever do the system link things?

Has Seeker Sticky Grenades

I enjoyed this game soooo much, I got every single achievement in it, including the keys to the city ones. The best Co-op I've played in a very long time.
I like seeing how High I can jump from before it kills me, having deathmaches with a friend with the crazy rocket launcher thing from the dl content, or sniping contests from across the city on the highest buildings. The fun part is when you "accidentally" shoot them off the building they are sniping from, Funniest looking thing in the world.

    well that's the best part... er.. if you're close to a respawn area. I'm the kind of person that, in halo 3, I put spawn points in custom maps that either confuse the crap out of you or you "might" die.
    Death in a video game is sometimes the best part, why else would we play games like these.

This is one of my all time favorite games.....It might not have been as polished as GTA, but the whole "pick up cars" thing added some serious replay value. Creativity goes a long way.....ever tried putting satellite dishes on the highway? The cars go flying..... And if you're good, you can probably get them to jump multiple times. *sigh* I wish my friends would still play with me, though....

      I don't recall where it was, but it can't have been the Agency tower, because I had literally just started the game again, and had zero skills. I think there was a slight hicup with the game when it happened :B

Legally Certified Warthog Operator

While I have to admit I got the game primarily for the Halo beta, I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. Never did multiplayer, but I'll bet it was fun. They're actually coming out with an mmo based on crackdown called APB. I think it's definitely up there on my top buys when it comes out if it does not have a monthly subscription.

I got this game to try halo 3 beta, but ended up enjoying Crackdown far more. It was fun, probably more fun than GTA what with the crazy things you could do. Take a look at Review: Cracking Up on Crackdown if you want to know more about it.

  Yeah, when I bought the game, I was worrying about whether my copy had and invite the the beta or not. When it came time for beta, I played the beta for a couple hours.....then went back to throwing cars at people.

Oh man I bought this game way after the Halo 3 Beta period, I didn't care about that stuff. Crackdown is one of the most insanely rediculous games I've played... srsly, you can pick up trucks.

I only hope there's a Crackdown 2 in development. I thought Crackdown was a damn fun game, a nice twist of the GTA Sandbox. I guess it coulda used more realism, but it was fun to leap on buildings, launch missiles to spectacular explosions, throw cars, and cause general chaos.

  I think the madness and complete lack of realism set it apart from other sandbox styled games.
  
  Crackdown 2 could do with more multiplayer co-op options. If there is one, that is.

    It would appear Microsoft has declined to work on Crackdown 2, and the original studio is working on it. It's future is unclear with Microsoft not taking part.
    
    Though I don't know why they aren't, Crackdown was a huge success in itself.

Tried A Real Guitar After Guitar Hero

I seriously think this was the best game I've ever played other than FFVII cause even after I had beaten it I just kept going back to play, even though I got it after the Halo 3 beta, my favorite part I have to say though had to have been the athletic skill, .......... AND SPIDERMANS TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!!! w00t to teh truk dat can stick to teh w4lls!!!!! ..... sorry, geeky moment there...
