When I first started playing I was an Amarr character. I like him but couldn't get passed the EM damage. Their ships really pissed me off. they look awesome but yea...lasers...lol.
Then I made a Caldari character and fell in love with missiles. That was until I got in the Cormorant and had railguns. Hybrid weapons have been my favorite ever since then. I recreated my character as a mining guy because I enjoyed it and liked Drones when I started using them to protect my miner. From there I decided to do some combat and now I am a Caldari pilot flying Gallente ships. My drone and gunnery skills are fairly high, my tanking skills are growing and I have mining and refining at 5 with many industrial skills so if I feel like taking a break from owning missions, I can.
As for aesthetics my favorite ship, bar none, is the Myrmidon or Brutix (Gallente BC's -- both symmetrical btw). I like vertical ships, so I like the Nightmare (Sansha BS) and Naglfar (Minmatar Dreadnought) quit a bit also. The best looking ship other than that would be the Prophecy (Amarr BC) or the Moros (Gallente Dreadnought). the Titans are all pretty awesome but that goes without saying. I think the only ship missing from that website is the Hel (Minmatar mothership).
