Yeah it's good, but can be frustrating at times - I generally find it turns into a battleship clusterfuck with no real tactics towards the end.

If you're impatient, hate AI that doesn't make sense sometimes, hate limited tech trees and hate pirates that have god-mode enabled at all times that decide to fuck with everyone else because you're a bastard with a cred' advantage over all other players, then this game is not for you.

I've been interested in this game, but what exactly is it? Something like Game: Star Wars: Rebellion? I'm thinking like galactic strategy game, is that correct? And if so, how deep is it? Can you create ships from shipyards, train troops, etc?

Yea, I got Sins of a Solar Empire, and it's pretty good. I think Star Wars: Rebellion was better on a the galactic domination scale. It was more strategic than tactical, where Sins of a Solar Empire is more tactical. The pirates annoy me and I just wish it were less confrontational, more options to oust people diplomatically or economically, like Alpha Centauri.

I have a demo of it I got from a gaming magazine. Gonna try it out some time.

I haven't found many games that can match the glee I feel when manoeuvring a 100+ ship strong fleet whilst listening to the Imperial March

I can see why people may not like this game. But I still love it.
