So.. I hear they are making the Hobbit into a movie. Possibly 2 movies. Not too sure how I feel about it being separated in two, but yeah.. I look forward to seeing this and I hope it is as good or better than the trilogy.
I hope they use the same people they used in the trilogy. I know it's being done by a different director. It might really ruin it for me if they use different people for any of the characters, especially Gollum and Gandalf.

    i heard one will follow the plot of the book, and one will be a sort of transitional story between The Hobbit and LoTR. Assuming the lawsuits dont prevent it from being made

    Played Final Fantasy Games Before FF7

    After the success of LotR it was inevitable that they'd pick up The Hobbit - after all, everybody reads The Hobbit before they get onto LotR - it's also, in my opinion, far easier to translate into film as it follows not nearly so many story threads.

    Never Played Half-Life

    I agree with Cei that it was inevitable that a Hobbit film was going to be made after how popular the LotR movies were.

    I can tell you now that I'll probably like the movie. I read the Hobbit when I was like 10 or 11, so I don't really remember much and will have no expectations for the movie. I pretty much think it's better that way.

      yeah, I definitely knew they were gonna make a Hobbit movie. I just don't think I'm gonna look forward to multiple movies if they go that route made out of it.

      I expect it to be every bit as good as the trilogy. I read the hobbit once when I was pretty young, then again when I was older. And I've seen that animated movie more times than I can count. I would definitely say it has something to live up to
