I know how you feel about forums, a lot of sites I'm a member of never really got me into the forum side of things. This is probably the first time I've ever gone beyond 1500~ posts on a forum.

I'm with you too bro, lol so far looks like you and I have only been able to give money . I just don't have the energy that i did back in the day (under 18 tbh, i just lied about everything, i was a Community liaison on some forums) to troll the forums, and for some reason, i cannot get into these. I'm bringing it back to the energy thing.

regardless, I hold only one of the requirements: I'm compy literate. I don't use the forums very often. I do try though. Even if I did, I don't turn 18 until January..

First off: Sorry this took so long to reply to, but I was getting my head around it myself.

Basically, the law assumes that a minor cannot comprehend the detail of a contract, which means they are free from a large number of the bonds that anyone over the age of 18, legally not considered a minor, is in agreement with when they sign the contract.

This means that they could, without a moments notice turn around and walk away, and if they were to break the MNDA that they would have to sign, it could probably be argued in court that they didn't understand the contract, and get away with basically throwing away anything they caught wind of.

What this also means is that a volunteer who was a minor, could essentially turn around and take us to court and claim that it was never intended as volunteer work, and claim back pay, and compensation for 'mental anguish' or something akin to that.

What it boils down to is us covering ourselves. I know it sounds selfish of us, but we simply cannot take that risk - It would jeapordise a lot of peoples financial stability and we are simply not prepared to take that risk. I know it sucks, I've been in the same boat myself a number of times. Sadly there's no way around it.
