I do feel you on that. Back in the day they used to actually sign peace treaties and come to peaceful agreements during or in light of the Olympics. While there is still peace and cooperation in the world between nations, you definitely have to look for it and see through all the poseurs. And the opening ceremony is less of a message of peace, but a showcase of the host nation's culture and history. At least in this case it was. And I have to tell ya, you missed one helluva show lol
