Any of you know/play this game?

It started out of a CCG and went on to a own-system tabletop RPG. When the D20 boom hit, they went to it, and all future books were written in both formats at once; half of the book had D20 system and the other half had AEG's own system.

The interesting thing about L5R is that, to this day, the CCG is still strong, and it defines the course of the game's history, for both the CCG and the RPG. You played as a Scorpion character in this year's Kotei and won the championship? Great, you can define what'll happen to the Emperor on the next supplement! (ex.)

Totally worth it: http://www.l5r.com/

I do. Both know it and play it. ;) Big surprise there, huh? Rokugan is one of my favorite settings, ever. Especially since WotC has never really done much with the old Oriental Adventures once they progressed from 2nd ed. to 3.*.

Or maybe they didn't do much with it because L5R is so much better! :nodnodnod: Either way, it's still one of my favorites.

Yeah, indeed, one of mine as well. I played a campaign that lasted years, once, going from Rank 1 to 9. That was some good, shit.

Good to know there's more L5R fans out there. :)

I like that the setting itself is so very political and full of intrigue, rather than just being hack-and-slash. It's more...grown up, I think.
