Internet goes to really slow whenever uTorrent is running

Won The Internet

Ok so I'll run uTorrent and be downloading at like 26 kb/s total. But then when I try to browse the web it's really slow. I pay for 8mb down but get 3.5 I get like half a meg up. I installed DD-WRT and it shows what my internet is allotted to but doesn't really show me anything definitive. What can I do to speed up my internet while torrenting?
