I'm too used to deviantART for my own good, but I really like the comment preview (I heard it might be in the works?) and the "parent" button in the message center so I don't have to keep going to the thread to see what I wrote if I forget the context.

Thoughts?

Yeah, I think the preview (or something like it) is in the works, those are a bitch to implement... I think.

And I second the parent button in the message centre.

  Preview would be harder, true, but I think if I had to choose anyways I'd go with the parent button over preview. All preview really does is render the emoticons and text how it's going to appear on the site, and really it isn't a necessity.

    Although it is sometimes nice to preview when you're worried it'll look bad, but meh.

  I can't see how preview would be that hard. All it needs to do is post to the server, get the output, but not write the output, just return it.. but then again, it may be hard.

    Anyway, I suppose it wouldn't really be too hard, since like you said all you technically have to do is well... essentially the same thing you've got going on with the AJAX commenting with a few minor tweaks, mainly being not writing and letting you write afterwards.

      yeah, I'm sure it could even probably be done via use of a userscript, and I'd guess someone on the community would be willing to write it.
