I feel your pain. Ack, you have NO idea.

Like I thought I knew what I wanted to do all through last semester of college (major in criminal justice/forensic sciences), but signing up for this semester, I had a total nervous breakdown. What if I don't want to do this for the rest of my life? What if I'm just wasting my time and money on something that I won't ever use?

I didn't do so well this past semester either. My GPA stands at an unimpressive 2.6. So I'm discouraged on both fronts there.

And I need money, because I'm moving out of my house when I turn 18. Even if I don't have money... I'm leaving. I have five younger siblings and I'm tired of playing "Mom".

Sorry for the semi-coherent rant.

I pretty much spent the entirety of 8th grade and freshman year thinking about what I'm gonna do, and I've got a pretty solid plan already.

Basically just think about what you like to do in your spare time, and see if you can turn that into a job. Even video games.....but you're going to need a set of brass balls and an endless supply of caffeine to make that.

Looking at your profile, you seem to be pretty good with image compositions and such.....so might I suggest photography?

Yeah, if you're still completely undecided when you go to college, go to some community college or something and take classes from a whole different variety of careers and then continue the one you liked most at a major institution, or even just stay at the community college.

Just make sure that you do go to college. I have a friend who was waiting to go to college and got so absorbed in her life that now it looks like she won't end up going at all. Moral of the story, go to college.

Or just do what you're good at until someone pays you to do it. That's always a good one.

My second semester of college started on Wednesday... and I've already had a mental breakdown. The whole "Why am I even going to college? I suck at life, so why bother?" thing. I managed to pull myself together... but now I'm wondering if I wouldn't be better off using this time I'm wasting (?) working and making money instead of paying out the wazzoo for a bunch of classes that I'll probably fail... My confidence in myself is pretty much non-existent at this point.

I'm having that issue right now, actually.

Bwahah, I'm in my second semester of college and have no idea what I want to major in. I was thinking Computer Science to design video games, but I absolutely hated the class and failed the most basic one (kind of a bad start), so I switched my major to Undecided. I'm hoping to take a handful of summer courses to sample a few more fields-- economics, political science, etc., so maybe I'll come out of it with a major.

Man, I'm a junior, and have absolutely no idea what I'm gonna do. I was thinking physics of some sort, but my grade this quarter was kind of a D+. So...yeah.

I'm in college and still not sure what I want to do. Despite the shit they try to feed you, few real people actually know what they want to do with the rest of their lives. Life usually just happens to you and you go with it.
