.hack//GU series (which got totally terrible reviews even though I liked it a lot) (which had a huge discrepancy on GameSpot of user rating of 9.5 vs site's 6.5 which justifies my opinion that it is a good game but critics just didn't like it) (which I started playing because I watched .hack//SIGN and .hack//ROOTS and read the .hack//Legend of the Twilight manga) (which is the only game series I ever finished completely, aside from Halo)02.01.08 11:08 pm-

I've heard things about G.U. being the last of the .hack// franchise, and I hope it isn't...
The amount of mystery and secrets in an "online" game they have is really cool IMO, and I hope they make an actual MMO, or at least another offline game.02.07.08 9:42 pm-

I never took to FFXII like I did the rest. I spent so much time making the battle system real-time, that they didn't take any time to make fights fun. Gambits do the fighting for you... It honestly puts me to sleep..---

The only reason I want the Haseo+Endrance ending is because I love Endrance.... dunno why though o.o;;;;
Haven't finished, but I know about that part... dunno about anything else so no spoilers!!! plzkthx!
I need to get the money to pay for the game... and to find it in the stores! They don't seem to have it

Because Endrance is gay. And most gamer chicks that I know like yaoi and/or gay boys? Hehe
Only gamer girl that I know for a fact isn't is Soren, My girly. (Thank god.)
When I go for the end, I'm probably going to stick with Atoli. I may even branch of and try and get Alkaid if you can. I like Alkaid.

I don't really like yaoi.... I just love Endrance and since I can't have him then Haseo gets to have him
That's my mindset. The only time I like yaoi is if I like the other male character and I'm cosplaying the character I'm pairing him with... like SoraxRiku from kingdom hearts! I cosplay Sora and love Riku
What a weird mindset huh?02.10.08 7:34 pm-

Worrying is about as effective as chewing gum to solve algebra
I sort of enjoyed FFXII, but not enough to finish the game..
I think, although it may not be an RPG game, the closest it's going to get for me is Project Eden.
A friend and I, ӝmook infact, spent what can only be described as 'the most frustrating weekend ever' completing the game, and while it was short, the puzzles were so infurtiating that it took forever and a bloody day to get through it.---

I enjoyed it as much as I've enjoyed FF in the past - But since I didn't get the time to complete it before I went off the series, I couldn't say much for the story, since I didn't really get that far into the game.---

Ehhh, I didn't get that far in FFXII either...
Combat was too slow for me, even on fastest setting. I prefer action games in a more God of War style, but I like turn-based better than this... Story wasn't so great either, and Vaan's vest is far too revealing and his voice extremely annoying. Luckily, he's also practically unavoidable because he's the main character

Action RPGs ftw!
I just remembered that the reason I recognized some of the characters in Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology is because I borrowed Tales of Symphonia for GameCube from a friend, in exchange for lending him Dragon Warrior Monsters for GBC. Except, I gave back Tales of Symphonia but never got back Dragon Warrior Monsters (both are awesome games).02.14.08 11:12 pm -

I know what you mean. Being able to see the enemies on the map ruined the combat - Where's the fun unless you can't see the enemy until you're in the fight?
I hated Fran and Penelo. Both irritated me endless amounts. Ahwell. Good job I'm not being forced to play it

Played Final Fantasy Games Before FF7
I like the fact that the battles aren't random - FF XII feels a lot like an MMORPG but without the online bit, or other people. The system is also incredibly flexible and powerful - you can automate the whole thing, or play traditional-style, issuing commands by hand every time.---

It's harder, sure. That said, an hour spent building up a 200 battle chain will see you through a lot. I'm playing it through again, about 10 levels ahead of the curve, which is roughly 1-2 hours of levelling, and having zero problems.---

FFXII, Persona 3:FES coming a close second.
The world needs more Shin Megami Tensei games.
And I'm disappointed to see many people don't seem to quite understand what the developers wanted to achieve with FFXII, especially regarding the story. Maybe it's because I whored Vagrant Story... Who can say.

I found the combat system refreshing. I mean, it's the same old ATB system with an added twist.
You do understand you can completely turn off gambits and play the old-fashioned way? You basically have ATB without the random battles - that's it. And eliminating them is a major plus for most gamers (not that I ever really hated the random battle...).
Gambits were a strategic relief for me - because you really do press "Attack" over and over a couple of thousand times during any FF, or any RPG in general, and Gambits make that a lot easier. Not to mention all of those strategies you can make for every dungeon, then change them for bosses, and so on, and so forth...
The only thing I don't like are Espers. Useless. Flashy, but useless. :/
OK, OK, this isn't an FFXII topic, I'll stop. >_>---
