How is it? I've never heard of it and wikipedia had little more to say than it is like a 3d diablo style game...

It has absolutely nothing to do with WoW. This is like saying "soccer is much better than chess". The two games are so different comparing them makes no sense whatsoever.

WoW is an MMORPG. This means it's a slow game, with huge depth and complexity, thousands of different enemies, huge explorable areas, continuous traveling (I ran from The Exodar to Westfall the other day... ugh, never want to do THAT again), crafting professions, a strong ingame economy etc.

Mythos is an action rpg, like the Diablo series. This means it's a very fast, entirely combat based game. There are no "professions" (there will be some sort of crafting tree eventually, but it'll be very minor). You fight dozens, sometimes hundreds of monsters at the same time. You warp from zone to zone, saving you all that travel time. The skill trees and combat system are so incredibly simple that the game only has 10 action buttons and I've yet to use more than 5 (including two for potions). The only categories of items there are are: weapons, armor, potions (health, mana, antidote), gems, maps, and town portals/identifies.You have to realize that there are more than 100 000 different items in WoW, and they are all premade; in an action rpg, everything is randomized. The monsters, their abilities, the loot, even the level layouts are randomized.

Basically the question is this: how much time do you want to invest? If you've got hundreds of hours to spare and would like to see new and interesting stuff all the time, if you'd like to spend 5 hour sessions doing a raid with friends etc, go play WoW. If you'd like to play a fun little game for maybe half an hour, maybe get together with one or two friends every now and then and play for an hour without using your brain very much, go for Mythos.
